Dr. Shein is dedicated to providing his patients with comprehensive care. He believes in the value of listening to patients and understanding the factors that affect their health.

Dr. Shein dose not use computers in the exam room.  During the examination his attention is focused on his patient, on their medical history and their questions.  He explains the importance of balance, “focusing on my patients, but also using technology when appropriate”.  The office computer system is used for medical record-keeping, access to lab results for patients, and communicating with other doctors.

Dr. Shein brings 30 years of clinical experience, and a background in academics to his primary care practice.  He explains that true primary care delivers complete care.  In fact, Dr. Shein authored an article in a major medical journal on the importance of primary care*.

Dr. Shein served on the faculty of Harvard Medical School for over 20 years; in 2015 he was promoted to Assistant Professor.  He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at the New England College of Optometry, and Co-editor of a textbook, Clinical Medicine for Optometrists.  He served on the Friends of Brookline Public Health when living in Brookline, and when he moved to Newton, he served on the Newton Public Health Advisory Committee.

Dr. Stjernfeldt is passionate about primary care, and in particular, the opportunity to build long-lasting, strong, and caring relationships, holistically treating the patient while leveraging the latest scientific developments.

While Dr. Stjernfeldt is interested in all aspects of primary care, she finds preventative medicine, women’s health, sports medicine, and the impact of nutrition on wellness and longevity especially rewarding.

Dr. Stjernfeldt has more than 20 years of experience practicing primary care, most recently as Medical Director at Newton Wellesley Primary Care – Weston, and before that at Beth Israel Deaconess – Lexington. She was an instructor at Harvard Medical School, is board-certified in Internal Medicine, and has a certificate in plant-based nutrition from Cornell.

Dr. Stjernfeldt graduated from Princeton University with honors and then earned her M.D. from Boston University School of Medicine. While at BUSM, she was granted the prestigious Job E. Fuchs scholarship award, given to the medical student “who shows signs of great patience, who is a warm person, a source of quiet stability and moral strength and who will make his/her patients partners in the medical process.” Her residency training in Internal Medicine was completed at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center / Harvard Medical School. Dr. Stjernfeldt, a native of Hingham, MA, is an avid skier, enjoys rowing, and resides in Weston with her husband and two teenagers, who all share her passion for 80s music.

Dr. Schroeder, a well-respected internist in the Boston metro-west area, is
committed to providing high-quality primary care. Since 1990, Dr. Schroeder has
practiced clinical medicine in Wellesley and continues to be affiliated with Newton
Wellesley Hospital. He also has been very active on boards and physician
organizations.In 2013, Dr. Schroeder started a new concierge practice, Wellesley Personal Care, LLC.
The change to Concierge Medicine was motivated by a desire to provide all members of
his practice with excellent quality and personalized care. Since 2013, his goal has been
realized. He feels rewarded, and professionally, he has been awarded for
providing his patients with the best personalized care available.

Dr. Schroeder began his medical studies with the honor of being selected for one of the
first medical classes at McMaster University in Canada. McMaster had developed an
innovative educational program that stressed problem-solving and tutorials rather than
didactic teaching.

After McMaster, Dr. Schroeder completed most of his medical training at McGill
University. For the last two years of his training, he was funded by the Robert Wood
Johnson Foundation as a Clinical Scholar. After his medical training, he was offered a
position as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Boston University School of Medicine
where he taught and did clinical research.
